This Privacy Policy explains how Readily ("Readily", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Readily mobile app and the website myreadily.com (together, the "Service").

1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form; we never see them.
- Profile details: a profile photo, if you choose to add one.
- Content you post: comments and reviews you write on stories.
Information created when you use the app
- Reading activity: stories you save to your library, the chapter and position you have reached, stories you star, and chapters you unlock.
- Coins and purchases: your coin balance, coins you earn or spend, and a record of coin purchases. Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your card or payment details.
Information collected for advertising
The app shows optional rewarded video ads (for example, "Watch an ad to unlock this chapter"). These ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested or shown, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when the app asks;
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device and app information (such as device model, operating system and app version);
- how you interact with the ad.
Google uses this information to serve, measure and, with your consent, personalise ads. You can learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Browsing without an account
If you use the app as a guest, the stories you save and your reading position are stored only on your device. They are sent to our servers only if you later create an account or sign in, so they can be added to your account.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account and sign you in;
- show your library, remember where you stopped reading and sync it across your devices;
- keep your coin balance, unlock chapters and record purchases;
- show rewarded ads and grant the rewards you earn from them;
- display your comments and reviews to other readers;
- respond to messages you send us;
- keep the Service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Your choices about ads and tracking
- App tracking: the app asks for permission before your advertising identifier is used for tracking. You can change this at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): if you are in these regions, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can still use the app and receive non-personalised ads if you decline.
- Not watching ads: ads are always optional. You can unlock chapters with coins instead.
4. How we share information
We share information only with:
- Google (AdMob), as described in section 1, to provide ads;
- Apple, which processes in-app purchases;
- service providers who host our systems: our servers and stored images are hosted by DigitalOcean in Germany (EU);
- authorities, if we are required to by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the Service.
Your name and profile photo are shown next to comments and reviews you post.
5. How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records (such as purchase records) to meet legal obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email hello@myreadily.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Children
Readily is not intended for children under 13, and some stories contain mature content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
